I guess I should be somewhat grateful that it took that long. After all, other more successful artists have released sets after I did that were ripped off sooner. So, yay for obscurity, I guess.
Look, I get it. I don't pay for porn either. Who does? It's so ubiquitous and easily found that I'm a little surprised that people still manage to make money off of it.
And selling that set wasn't really meant to be a huge moneymaker. It was pretty cheap - an intro price. Honestly I only submitted it to Affect3d because A)I did all that work and B) having a legit product in a legit storefront can only help spread the word. Having it available for free on certain sites only reinforces the marketing aspect of the release - I'm trying to get the name out there and there's only so much "I hope I put the right tags on this post so that people who are interested in this sorta thing can find it" I can do.
And I'm certainly not crazy enough to think I could make a career out of this. Again, that price point doesn't really make that feasible. I also have no formal artistic training so, even if my renders hit some weird point where people can't look away, there's still going to be better people than me working in this odd field.
But it would be nice if this hobby could pay for itself. Because it's not cheap. There's computer upgrades and Daz sales, not to mention the time. I'm willing to throw in the time, but the other stuff requires money and money has higher priorities than keeping me in high heels for my pretty, pretty princess.
So, if you're one of those people who downloaded my set for free, I have a couple hopes for you:
1. I hope it got you off. Seriously, what's the point otherwise?
2. I hope you liked it enough to follow me on whatever social platform you prefer.
3. I hope you're interested in seeing other stuff from me.
The nicest thing you could do, if you downloaded it for free and liked it, is to let me know what you thought. Because, at this point, I'm unpopular enough that I'm working in a vacuum. You could let other people know you liked it. Spread the word and I'll happily make more for whatever audience I eventually develop.
And then maybe the eventual Patreon can keep me in high heels.
